• Contact & order details: your name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, and shipping/billing address provided at checkout.
• Order history: the books and eBooks you purchase, order value and delivery status.
• eBook delivery email: the email address to which we send your eBook download link.
• Communications: messages you send us via the contact form, email or WhatsApp.
• Technical & usage data: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not collect full card or bank-account numbers — payment data is handled directly by our payment gateway (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To process and deliver your orders (ship physical books, email eBook download links).
• To send order confirmations, dispatch and tracking updates, and respond to support requests.
• To process payments, prevent fraud and meet legal/accounting obligations.
• To improve our website, catalogue and service.
• To send offers and updates where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Payment Information

All payments are processed by secure, PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment gateways (such as PhonePe / Razorpay). Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on the gateway's secure page and are never stored on Turstbook's servers. We only receive a transaction reference and status to confirm your order.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how it is used:

• Essential cookies — required for the cart, checkout and security; the site cannot function without these.
• Analytics cookies — help us measure traffic and improve the store.
• Advertising cookies — such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, used to measure and improve our ads.

Managing cookies: you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers also let you refuse third-party/advertising cookies. Disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the checkout from working.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the store:

• Courier / logistics partners — your name, address and phone number, to deliver physical orders.
• Payment gateways — to process your payment.
• Email & messaging providers — to send confirmations, eBook links and updates.
• Analytics & advertising partners — limited usage data as described above.
• Legal authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Your data is stored on secured servers with access controls and is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We retain order and contact information for as long as needed to fulfil orders and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing messages at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at reader@turstbook.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our store is intended for users aged 18 and above, or for minors under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without such consent.
